Costume made after the character Auriel, Archangel of Hope from the series, Diablo III.
There's almost 6 months of work in this costume as there had to be researched a lot. The whole armor consists of foam, sandwiched between two worbla sheets (a thermoplastic material which you can mold when heated), painted gold and metallic green. I used a black, body suit underneath all the armor, which also worked as a connector to some armor/fabric parts.
The belt and the leg armor parts are connected to my body with small belts, made of green, fake leather. The frontpiece connectes to the backpiece through belts with velcro on them that go around my body. Those belts are tied to the backpiece.
The wings were made of mdf wood base on which small, pvc pipes are constructed on and later covered in worbla. The pvc pipes have EL wires going thoruhg them which can be lighted up, showing the glowy wings the original characters has. Those wings connect to the backpiece around the upper part of the back and is secured on place with a couple of screws. It's pretty solid construction.
For covering the face, a black mask was used so, when it would get too hot underneath everything, you can easily get rid of it to get some fresh air or to drink/eat.
